A Big Event

So we've had a big breakthrough in the Voigt household. Sadie has learned how to roll from her back to her tummy. She's been rolling from her tummy to her back for several weeks, but mostly just in bed and very rarely on the floor. Today for the first time she learned to go both ways.

This new trick of hers will save me some sleepless nights. She's been a tummy sleeper since birth which wasn't a problem until she learned to roll onto her back. She'd roll in bed and then squawk because she couldn't sleep on her back. Needless to say I have been up with her several nights turning her back over so she can go back to sleep. Now she can do it on her own. Hallelujah! Of course this new trick also opens up another area of mommy work for me because just today, due to her rolling back and forth, she's maneuvering herself away from where I put her and I already had to take away an electric cord she found rather tasty. Though she seems much happier playing on the floor when she can move around by herself. Now if she can just keep her supper in her tummy so she doesn't roll around in her spit... ah well, everything in its own time. :)
