Daddy's Home!

Josh arrived home yesterday for his 2 week break. We're enjoying having him back so much. Sadie and I took off yesterday morning for our little trip to Fort Campbell to pick him up. It was a 2 1/2 hr drive and Sadie was a perfect little angel the whole time. We didn't have to stop once, and when we got there she was very happy the whole time too. She didn't take a very good nap in her car seat so she got a little cranky coming home, but nothing real bad. By the time I got to base, got a pass for the car, fed Sadie, got something to eat and drove over to the place Josh's flight was supposed to land, his plane was just touching down. It worked out perfectly.


We had a very enjoyable trip back, getting to catch up on everything, and of course we had to stop at Josh's favorite restaurant for supper, Cracker Barrel. Sadie was asleep when Josh arrived, so it wasn't until Cracker Barrel that she got to be reacquainted. She wasn't too sure of what to think of Daddy

It took her a little while and a spoon to decide she liked this strange looking guy after all. :)

Shelby was also very happy to see her playmate back. She thought she'd died and gone to heaven when Josh stepped out of the car. She hasn't been far from his side since. She's pretty sure she needs to be on his lap with Sadie too.

Sadie has definitely warmed up to Josh today and likes the new games that Daddy plays with her and the puppy.
