Daddy's Home!

Sadie and I are very excited to finally see Josh again. We flew up to D.C. yesterday to meet Josh here and will be staying here during the month of Nov while he finishes up his deployment here. Sadie was very happy when she saw Daddy for the first time yesterday. She didn't act like he was a stranger at all. She was, however, a little confused this morning when he got her out of bed. She apparently forgot about him during the night. :) She's having a lot of fun with Daddy, getting "plane rides" and swinging back and forth. She loves it!

We had a really good time in OK with my sisters. Sadie misses her cousin Hudson now. They spent every waking moment together and she wasn't sure what to do with herself when we got home and he wasn't there to entertain her and give her "hugs". :)

Since we've been home she's been trying to crawl like crazy. She even figured out how to get herself into a semi-sitting position. I discovered this yesterday morning when she was supposed to be taking a nap, but was instead babbling to herself in her crib. All of a sudden I heard a thunk and she started wailing. I was completely baffled by that because I knew she couldn't pull herself up yet. I walked in there and she'd sat herself up in bed and promptly fallen backwards against the side of the crib. I guess this new trick of hers needs a little practice. :) She loves holding onto the edge of her crib when I stand her next to it. She's gotten really good about hanging on and not letting go.

Here's a little of her action since we've been in D.C. She couldn't wait to get down on the floor after being held through a whole plane ride and then strapped into a car seat for an hour. She kept pushing away from whoever was holding her wanting to get on the floor. She had to work out all those wiggle bugs.
