We've had a very eventful week here in the Voigt household. Sadie started running a fever last Saturday afternoon and it lasted into Monday. She was miserable for 2 days after that (still not sure what she had), and then very generously shared it with Daddy so he woke up Wednesday morning with a fever too. He tried going to work on Thursday but still felt so poorly that night that he stayed home on Friday again. It made for a very busy and crazy week for me taking care of the two of them. After her fever broke she was still miserable for most of the week which meant extra crabiness. She was so wiped out from her illness Saturday and Sunday she would just lay her little head on me and hold onto Boo and suck her thumb. She actually fell asleep on me Sunday night (which she NEVER does). It was so sad, but she was so cute we had to take her picture. :)
After we got over the hump of illnesses we had a really good rest of the week. Sadie's been happy and healthy the last couple of days and it makes me so happy to see her that way. She loves twirling in circles until she's dizzy and falls over. She sticks her little arm out and watches it while she spins. I caught her at it the other day.
She has also discovered that her toes are very entertaining. She spends several minutes a day, several times a day, digging through them for "treasures". She's also getting very good at finding her body parts. She added her tongue to her list of things she can now identify. Really funny. Here she is exploring her toes and finding her body parts.
We also found out this week that Iowa started their background search on Josh and every indication is that he should get the job once they're done with it. However, we also found out that they've postponed the academy to the end of September rather than the first of July. Good news for us because it means Josh will be here when the baby comes, but it also means we wait that much longer to know for sure if he gets the job. It could be as late as August now before he gets a job offer. More waiting!
