Kisses and Other Stuff

Well we've reached another milestone as parents. We have officially been inducted into parenthood. After a supper of hot dogs, Sadie proceeded to throw them all back up in bed Tuesday night while she was sleeping. What fun! This is a first for us and I'm happy to say I handled it pretty well, considering I don't handle vomiting very well. Apparently hot dogs don't digest well in little tummies (who knew?). Anyway, she was fine the next day but I can't say the same for Momma. I was dry heaving while cleaning up the mess from the middle of the night. Yuck!

So our week started out rather exciting and just got better from there. Josh got the bug to rip into the garage shingles and tore them off Wednesday-Thursday and put them back on Friday-Saturday with the help of our very kind neighbors. It was a project that had been delayed due to his deployment last year and had to be done in case we end up selling this summer. He did a great job and it's so nice to not have it hanging over our heads anymore.

We've also been crazy-busy selling and shipping 4-wheeler parts on ebay. This has been Josh's part time job this month to bring in some extra cash. He got a great deal on the 4-wheeler and is parting it out to make money. Doing well so far, but boy is it a lot of time!

Sadie has finally decided that she likes giving kisses. For the longest time she wouldn't give us kisses, thought it was a funny game to turn her face away when we'd ask for a kiss. Now she gives us kisses whenever we ask, and sometimes when we don't. I caught her giving Daddy kisses this evening. Too cute!

She also loves getting jammies on for bed, brushing her teeth and going to bed. Never saw a child so excited about bedtime and the things that go with it. :)

We're progressing along nicely with the pregnancy. This little bug is definitely busier than Sadie ever was. I can hardly move around in bed without waking her up and then she bounces around forever! Makes sleeping difficult. She's also awake a lot during the day moving around. It concerns me a bit about what kind of a busy beaver she may be when she's born. :) Here we are at 28 weeks.

That's about all the exciting updates we have for this week. Life continues on and we are so thankful for God's provision, protection and grace that he gives us each day. We are truly blessed!
